What's with the name Saint Virginia?

Our land is a gift, and it’s holy, and there’s beauty wherever you are, in every season. Our mission at Saint Virginia is to celebrate beauty and its abundance in nature.

Saint Virginia is also an actual saint, Saint Virginia Centurione Bracelli, who cared for the poor and the sick in Genoa, Italy in the early 1600s.

Do you accept returns?

Returns are gladly accepted within 10 days after shipment, however, Saint Virginia cannot be responsible for additional shipping fees.

When can I expect to receive my item(s) in the mail?

All items are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. Shipping is a $7 flat rate. Please allow up to 7 business days for shipping once your order is placed.

How should I care for my items?

All items may be machine washed on gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Washing by hand always is a good option, too. Items also may be tumble-dried on low, or hung to dry but out of direct sunlight.

Are your natural dyes colorfast and lightfast?

Yes, they have been tested for colorfastness from washing, however, most dyes may fade slightly over time. This is the beautiful nature of plant dyes. The color may soften, like synthetic dyes, but natural dyes develop a “patina” and get lovelier with time.

Do you use any mordants in your dye process?

Yes, I use alum, which is a non-toxic pickling salt essentially. Natural dyers use various mordanting techniques to enable color to “fix” to the cloth.

I'd like a custom item. Do you do that?

Yes, we love commissions. Contact us here.

I want to send my item(s) as a gift. Can you wrap it and send a special note?

Absolutely. Please include a note with your order to specify what you’d like to say.
