Do you accept returns?

Returns are gladly accepted within 14 days after shipment, however, you will be responsible for return shipping fees. All items must still have the original tag intact and be in the original condition.

When can I expect to receive my item(s) in the mail?

All items are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. Shipping is a $7 flat rate. Please allow up to 2 weeks for shipping once your order is placed. Some items are made to order and take time, unless noted that it is an already dyed and sewn item. In that case, you can expect your order to ship within 7 business days.

Please contact us at info@saintvirginia.com for international orders or any special requests.

How should I care for my items?

All items may be machine washed on gentle cycle with a mild, fragrance- and dye-free soap (such as dish soap.) Washing by hand always is a good option, too. Items may be tumble-dried on low, or hung to dry but out of direct sunlight. Iron on the lowest setting. Dry cleaning is not recommended as a result of harmful chemicals used in the dry cleaning process. If you must use a professional cleaner, be sure their methods are “green,” and wet cleaning is preferable to dry cleaning. Inform them that your items are ph-sensitive and have been dyed using natural dyes.

Are your natural dyes colorfast and lightfast?

Yes, they have been tested for colorfastness from washing, however, some dyes may fade slightly over time, especially if they are exposed to direct sunlight. Be sure to store your textiles out of the sun. The color may soften, similar to synthetic dyes, but natural dyes develop a “patina” and get lovelier with time.

Do you use any mordants in your dye process?

Yes, I use alum, which is a non-toxic pickling salt essentially. Natural dyers use various mordanting techniques to enable color to “fix” to the cloth for permanence.

I want to send my item(s) as a gift. Can you wrap it and send a special note?

Absolutely. Please include a note with your order to specify what you’d like to say.
